Formula 1 pre-season testing entered its second of three days on Friday in Bahrain as the cars hit the track for another eventful day. Check out the best images from the track below!

Ferrari launched their 2023 Formula 1 challenger on Tuesday and surprised everyone by hitting the track immediately, in what was dubbed a brave but confident move from the Italian squad.

Formula 1 heads back to Barcelona for the sixth round of the championship, location of pre-season testing in February, so teams are already familiar with the track and have plenty of data with their 2022 cars. The traditional first race of the European leg usually means upgrades and there’s plenty on show already.

Sidepods have been the talk of the town this weekend after Mercedes unveiled a radical design – a departure from the norm – whilst on Saturday Red Bull introduced an update to their own.

Although we have new technical regulations, many expected the teams to converge on similar concepts given the tight boundaries imposed by the new rules, but that certainly hasn’t been the case with multiple different concepts appearing during pre-season testing.

Wet tyres made their first appearance on Friday in Barcelona, but not because the heavens opened, but instead Pirelli arranged to have the circuit watered to test their wet tyre range. It was also an eventful day for Pierre Gasly and Fernando Alonso, both of which encountered issues, whilst the morning saw five red flags.
